I would have liked a brief introduction outside of your present job but your background as well. I suspect that many that dont subscribe dont know much about you.
You are not saying anything that has not already been published I would (and its only a viewpoint others will disagree)
Dont worry or get into the Coe issue. that makes it more difficult to expect any support from the existing board. Just seek your election. That comment can be made after they tell us they think you are under qualified.
I think you need to make the point about unclear direction and that a clear direction shared with shareholders will maximise return.
I think your 1 dollar is the low ball so why not put a range. Between 1 dollar and 1.35 say. We want you to make the dollar 1.35
The fact that there is a possibility that current management may decide not to wind down but re-enter the market has not been made at all.
You make an excellent point about apathy. By the way id Penrice can get 72% of shareholders by number of shares to vote than so can you. This was also a battle for board seats.
I think its a really great idea and the video will do well. Your podcasts are better beacuse you guys are comfortable doing them. How about a few video podcasts to The I Investor.

Great presentation guys. As an RHG Shareholder, CEO of a website development company since 2000, and genuine Internet geek since about ‘95, it’s absolutely fantastic to observe the Internet being leveraged so effectively to (hopefully) achieve a very worthy goal. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a moving picture must be worth many times that.
Careful guys, you might just have raised the bar for all company directors (actual or would-be) when it comes to getting their message across to their shareholders. Looking forward to seeing the video presentation from the incumbent directors.

Good video intro but it took a long time to load on my ADSL connection.
It appears likely that the rise in RHG share price over the last two days may be an indication of shareholders appreciation of a chance of board renewal.

Great idea guys. My first impression (the most important one) was that you looked uncomfortable appearing before a camera, which took my focus off the message. I think you try shooting it again sitting behind a desk or table, see how that looks.

Well done. You are breaking new ground with your approach via video and you have my full support.
Regarding presentation, while not advocating pin striped suits perhaps you could try to look a little less “geeky”. And maybe try maximising the opportunity and using a visual aid or two to illustrate your points.

The hand gestures were a bit distracting but if that’s what you do naturally while talking to people, Greg and Steven, then no need to change them. However, if it’s not what you do, then perhaps go for more relaxed body language? For example, perhaps present to the camera as if we the viewers were the third person in a 3-way conversation. So Greg might agree at the end of one of Steven’s points and then expand on another point while looking at the camera while Steve looks at Greg, followed by vice versa. A table or outdoor setting might better suit this approach. Just a suggestion.
On a separate note, I concur with Joe W’s suggestion that instead of referring directly to Coe, perhaps you emphasise what we as shareholders should expect of directors who represent us. You can trust informed shareholders to measure Coe against these standards. Conversely, I’d like to hear in the presentation examples of how you have sustained these standards in your practices.

I applaud your efforts to maximize the cash return to shareholders in the winddown of RHG, but I think the point that RHG is making regarding your election has some merit. There is a basic conflict of interest between your reporting on RHG to your Intelligent Investor readers (of which I am one) and serving on the RHG board. Probably as a condition of joining the board RHG would make you drop coverage in the Intelligent Investor.
As a reader, I would find that a shame. I wonder isn’t there a way for you to sponsor an independent director who shares your agenda, and to keep your independence as analysts so that you can maintain coverage of RHG in the Intelligent Investor?

I appreciate your efforts in representing the small shareholders who are not in a position to individually take action. Using technology to encourage positive shareholder activism and improve outcomes is highly commendable.

As always, thanks for your hard work in helping all of us to realize a good value from our RHG shares. As I’ve said before, you have my votes. Coe has gotta go! Coe is gonna go. His lack of attendance is insulting. As is the boards behaviour. Kinghorn owes people $2.50 for these shares & should pay it out of his own pocket. What a rort that was.
Keep up the good work we are excited, very keen to get some dividends (or as you say, see the vlaue maximized) & with you impressive guys all the way.

I have no problem with “keep the bastxxds honest ” approach but I hope this does not distract you from your main role to your subscribers and maintaining the high quality of TII. I would expect as directors of RHG that you have some say in choosing the appropriate executive team that will deliver to the best interests of the shareholders.

I like the concept of a VOD but I am on a country broadband connection i.e. less than 256k and the video took nearly 15 minutes to download — a lower quality file needs to be available.
As for the content, I thought it is “spot on”. I want to see the same sort of presentations from the directors of all the companies which I own a slice of. They are asking me for a job — I want to see if they have had a haircut, are nicely dressed and really do want to work for my company.
